The Executive Director works with the FDRLO Board of Directors to develop and implement strategies that facilitate communications between Fort Drum leadership and the North Country community leadership, with an emphasis on elected leaders at every level to ensure we seek their input and they are informed and conversant on issues relating to Fort Drum, FDRLO and the community. Additionally, the ED develops external communication strategies designed to keep the public informed about FDRLO objectives, services and accomplishments, to include website, social media and written materials. The ED also promotes FDRLO programs, brand and image throughout the region.
This position requires demonstrated leadership experience and skills including: critical and strategic thinking, collaboration, inter-personal communications, consensus-building and a substantial measure of intellectual rigor. Successful candidate must be willing to be publically visible, energetic, a self-starter, and work flexible hours, as needed.
FDRLO is a membership organization with volunteer participation in day to day operations. This position is part of a small office environment, reports directly to the Board of Directors, and carries out the Mission, Vision and Strategic Goals of FDRLO in support of Fort Drum and the Community.
